  Much anticipating storyline, a precise description of the surroundings and characters... The Twentieth Wife is a novel of tradition, it is not just about a character it tells a story of an empire and the people associated with the empire. It can be said that the main focus is the empress known as Nur Jahan but I felt that everyone in the story was given equal parts. It was an overall narration, the author was narrating it as a story, not as a viewpoint of any one character in most of the parts. Description of palaces and the different locations was to the point like so detailed and beautifully done. And of course, the food description was mouth-watering like it was done not so often but I just felt as if the dish is in front of me and I cannot control myself from feeling hungry. It tells the story of a man who is living a simple life with his wife earning by making portraits of people and is quite content with life. But the most unexpected thing happens when his wife says something he never imagined might happen. He is drawn to a direction that is not what he thought, he might lead on. The situations were seemingly normal but something felt as if someone is writing his destiny and he is meant to follow those roads and it is unwise to get deviated from those paths. The book kept me curious throughout, characters are portrayed in such a way that it feels actual as if they are sitting in front of me. I was captivated by the whole understanding and shrewd side of Rani Jindan Kaur, it is a well-balanced novel covering all aspects of the story. The description of emotion and the way of dealing with the situation with patience rather than anger makes the situation solvable that's the most important thing to learn from the queen.   It is an astonishing book that has a unique sense of awareness about it. by- Haruki Murakami The novel is about a girl who appears to be an enigma. It is like a maze, a storyline navigating through life and getting confused at times and exploring the simplest of things. On the other hand, it also has a side that is about love and how it is not a person's will to decide whom to love and whom not to, it just happens. I liked the book it has a power to it, which makes me sit down and ponder about it for a long time. Murakami has a way of writing which helps the reader to connect and at the same time find it extraordinary. The rawness in the way of depicting makes it captivating, the unusual things are represented in such a usual way that it makes the whole moment astonishing.   I may be biased about this book because it’s my personal favourite, and yes my favourite line to say about this book is I love the way they both love each other it’s simple logic yet enlivened. And the glamour of the novel is how the author describes their surroundings and their relationships with their parents. The novel is the creation of creativity like how many times people come across something which is a simple world story but yet the way it is the portrait it’s engrossing.
